Staff Profiles
Jacob Yingst, EA
Jacob Yingst joined the family business in 2016. Jacob grew up in rural Whiting, just a few miles down the road from his grandpa Schlaegel’s family farm, where he grew up helping on the farm, making popcorn, and eventually learning about the tax business from Gary. Jacob graduated from Kansas State University in 2016 with a degree in Agriculture Economics. While in college Jacob was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity and had a summer internship with Bartlett Grain where he was a grain merchandiser. He still helps run the family farm with Gary and also officiates area high school football and basketball games. When he’s not busy doing any of those jobs he enjoys watching and playing sports, fishing, hiking, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
In 2020 Jacob became an enrolled agent with the IRS. This means he passed a three part test covering individual tax law, business tax law, and representation, practice, and procedures with the IRS. So rest assured Jacob can represent any client before any IRS office. Even if he did not personally prepare the tax return under question.
